Biography:
Bryan Denton was born in Pasadena, California in 1983. After arriving in New York City on August 26, 2001 to study at NYU, and begin what he thought would be a career in commercial photography, Bryan’s photographic interests shifted significantly when he witnessed the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center. After graduating in 2005, Bryan moved to Amman, Jordan and began covering conflict and social issues around the Middle East. After covering the 2006 July War in Lebanon, he decided to base himself in Beirut, where he resides today.
Bryan’s work has been featured on the pages of TIME, Newsweek, The New York Times, The Times of London, Courrier International, The Globe and Mail, and The New Republic and he has recently completed assignments in Lebanon, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iraq and Haiti.
